7:30am

My honey is sooo sweet!
Lookie what he got me for Valentine's Day.

9:00am

For my family for Valentine's Day I am making
a deer roast.  I have it in the crock pot with
a can of beef consume and a packet of onion soup mix.
I also added some carrots and later on will
boil up potatoes and make gravy.

For dessert I am making strawberry shortcake cakes.
I'll be doing a white cupcake, cut in half, with strawberries
and whipped topping in the middle
and whipped topping on the top with a
chocolate covered strawberry.

Don't buy those expensive chocolate dipped strawberries
at the store when you can make your own for
much much cheaper.  My baker's chocolate
was only .50 cents a package marked down
after New Years and the strawberries were on sale
this week $2.50 for 2 pounds.  When I weighed the strawberry
package in the store it was actually 2.5 pounds.

I broke skewers in half and poked them
through the tops of the strawberries
then used a spoon to pour chocolate, melted in
a mini crock pot, over them.
I reused my washed out soup can to stand the strawberries
in to dry.

12:00pm

My gas bill came today for usage between.
1/14 - 2/12.
We had a couple days in there that was
a big thaw but we also saw around 4-6+ inches of snow
with temps in the teens but mainly 20-30 degrees and wind chills
in the teens, single digits and minuses.
The kids actually got out of school early
one day due to snow and slippery roads.
All in all I don't think the gas bill
was too bad for January/February at $65.81!

12:45pm

Got 23 cupcakes baking in the oven.

Tips for today,
Used for WD40.

1. Protects silver from tarnishing.
2. Removes road tar and grime from cars.
3. Cleans and lubricates guitar strings.
4. Gives floor that 'just-waxed' sheen without making them slippery.
5. Keeps the flies off of Cows, Horses, and other Farm Critters, as well. (Ya gotta love this one!!!)
6. Restores and cleans chalkboards.
7. Removes lipstick stains.
8. Loosens stubborn zippers.
9. Untangles jewelry chains.
10. Removes stains from stainless steel sinks.
11. Removes dirt and grime from the barbecue grill.
12. Keeps ceramic / terracotta garden pots from oxidizing.
13. Removes tomato stains from clothing.
14. Keeps glass shower doors free of water spots.
15. Camouflages scratches in ceramic and marble floors.
16. Keeps scissors working smoothly.
17. Lubricates noisy door hinges on both home and vehicles doors.
18. It removes that nasty tar and scuff marks from the kitchen flooring.
It doesn't seem to harm the finish and you won't have to scrub nearly as hard to get them off.
Just remember to open some windows if you have a lot of marks.
19. Remove those nasty Bug guts that will eat away the finish on your car if not removed quickly!
20. Gives a children's playground gym slide a shine for a super fast slide.
21. Lubricates gearshift and mower deck lever for ease of handling on riding mowers...
22. Rids kids rocking chair and swings of squeaky noises.

30. Keeps rust from forming on saws and saw blades, and other tools.
31. Removes grease splatters from stove tops.
32. Keeps bathroom mirror from fogging.
33. Lubricates prosthetic limbs.
34. Keeps pigeons off the balcony (they hate the smell).
35. Removes all traces of duct tape.
36. Folks even spray it on their arms, hands, and knees to relieve arthritis pain.
37. Florida's favorite use is: 'cleans and removes love bugs from grills and bumpers.'
38. The favorite use in the state of New York, it protects the Statue of Liberty from the elements.
39. WD-40 attracts fish. Spray a little on live bait or lures and you will be catching the big one in no time. Also, it's a lot cheaper than the chemical attractants that are made for just that purpose.
Keep in mind though, using some chemical laced baits or lures for fishing are not allowed in some states.
40. Use it for fire ant bites. It takes the sting away immediately and stops the itch.
41. It is great for removing crayon from walls. Spray it on the marks and wipe with a clean rag.
42. Also, if you've discovered that your teenage daughter has washed and dried a tube of lipstick with a load of laundry, saturate the lipstick spots with WD-40 and rewash. Presto! The lipstick is gone!
43. If you spray it inside a wet distributor cap, it will displace the moisture, allowing the engine to start.

2:00pm

Got a bunch of potatoes cut up, enough
to fill a large pot.  Some will be for mashed potatoes
tonight and others will be used in pot pies
tomorrow with leftover deer roast.
I got a bunch of cooked carrots in the freezer
from another meal that I will use in the
pot pies as well.

6:00pm

My Valentine's Day supper for my family,
minus the cat who thought he was getting
his own plate, lol.  I gave him a dollop of
whipped cream in his food bowl.
He was content with that, lol.

Earlier today I saw on Facebook where someone
posted where you could get a free
6 quart NFL crock pot for free using a coupon code.
The website ended up crashing
and who knows if this was for real or
if some of us will really get it for free.
Now I did get through and ordered a
Steelers crock pot.  It went through the checkout
with the code, said it was $0 and I even got
a confirmation email.
So will wait and see if they will actually
honor it or cancel orders due to a goof up.
It said it should arrive between 2/21 - 2/25
if it does show up.
That would be soooo awesome if it does.
It's worth $65.24.
I did try to get my mom one but by that time
their web site had crashed from so
many people trying for one.
Now the coupon code will no longer work!
