7:40am
I got all the doughnuts and cinnamon rolls
bagged up this morning for the freezer.
This should be enough for 21 school days (3.5 weeks)
snacks or breakfasts for only $3.98.
Then I got supper laid out and thawing in the fridge.
I'll be making chicken pot pies.
Chicken is from the 10 pound bag of chicken
leg quarters from last week already cooked up.
Chicken (half bag shown above) $1.11
1 cans of biscuits $1.00
peas (leftovers) FREE
carrots (leftovers) FREE
1 can cream of chicken soup .39 cents
crushed corn flakes FREE
TOTAL COST $2.50
makes 8 chicken pot pies at .31 cents per serving.
Grands used to make corn biscuits and had stopped
making them or I just could not find them
anywhere. I just now found them again at Meijer.
That is what I used for these pot pies.
I think they are sooo good!
They are also good to wrap hot dogs in to make
like a corn dog. Or one of my favorites is
to mold the corn biscuits around the backside
of a cupcake pan to make biscuit cups
then spoon canned chili inside them to make chili bowls.
