Got the scrap metal cashed in this morning.

Made $92 from that.

Then went over to the carry out to do 3 drywall repairs

and replaced an outlet.  Got the drywall replaced and

mudded.  Now have to wait for it to dry then will

go back and sand and mud one more time.

Then will paint the whole bathroom once that

is completed.  Might take a couple days to do

then get paid.  When we left we got something to 

drink and a couple bags of chips to bring home

for the boys.  They said we didn't have to pay for it

because of working for them :0)

Didn't expect that.  That was nice of them.

Once back home I made some lunch of brats

and hot dogs then had to run to Big Lots afterwards.

This is where we go to get a very large pack

of AA batteries for $3.00.

The kids go through lots of AA batteries

in their wireless remotes for their games systems.

I checked their marked down items while

in the store.  I got 12 bottles of Gatorade for

only .10 cents each and I finally found

some white LED lights with a white cord

for our white Christmas tree

that was regularly $18 marked down to $4.50,

75% off.  It says on the package it saves

up to 90% on energy costs.

I've been trying to replace all our lights

with LED ones.  Been looking for 5 bush net lights

and 3 strands of icicle lights for the front of the house.

I only found one box of each at Big Lots which sucked

so didn't get any of those.

We have another couple go rounds of extreme

cold temperatures.  One they said will be Monday

and another sometime the beginning of February.

Uh, did they forget to mention the temps

feel pretty extreme today?!

Our gas billed jumped up almost $30.

It was $67 and is now $95.

I guess that's not too bad considering

the horror stories I hear 

about the costs of other people's

gas bills.
